Our Playgroup is used by children from the village of Wick and the surrounding rural area, as well as by many families from further afield. We have extensive experience of integrating children with many different special needs and those from different cultural backgrounds. We offer childcare and early years education from 2½ - 4 years of age.
We hope that this website will answer any questions you may have about our group. If you would like to find out more you are very welcome to contact us, or make an appointment to visit the group and meet the children and the staff.

Community Playgroup
Wick and District Playgroup is a Community Playgroup.
This means that it is owned and managed by parents. A small committee of parents, elected by parents, is formed each year. This committee ensures that decisions taken by parents are implemented. It also employs the Playgroup's staff.
Playgroup Fees
At present* many of our children are able to access a free or subsidised place, funded by the Vale of Glamorgan LEA. This currently comes into effect from the term following the child’s third birthday. No funding is available for younger children, who pay £8.50 per session, payable per half term in advance to the treasurer.
Fees are still payable if a child is absent. (If this causes difficulty please contact the Playleader and alternative arrangements may be able to be made.)
* Please check fee details before registration since the LEA funding policy can change.
